Course Certification Details
The 40 Hour Child Care Director's Course is a comprehensive training program designed for current and aspiring directors of child care centers. This course provides in-depth instruction in early childhood development, regulatory compliance, health and safety standards, and effective leadership strategies. Participants develop essential skills in program planning, staff management, and financial oversight, enabling them to create nurturing, safe, and enriching environments for children while ensuring efficient, compliant operations.
In addition, the course meets the requirements for those opening new centers, participating in Quality Rated programs, and fulfilling the state's academic and qualifying child care experience criteria for becoming a Director. Upon completion, all participants will receive a certificate. Georgia participants can upload their certificates to GAPDS at the end of the course to receive credit.
